Laser Communication Engineer
General Atomics Synopta is a Swiss company that is specialized in the design and production of high data
rate laser communication systems and associated equipment for space and ground-based applications.
With the successful introduction of several product lines in the recent years, GA Synopta is ramping up
its overall team size at its location in Eggersriet SG, Switzerland.
Responsibilities
- Assembly and integration of optical ground station prototypes and respective sub-systems
- Test prototypes of space mechanisms
- Coordinate work with mechanical designer and system engineer
- Maintenance and further development of test and integration facilities in clean room environment
- Development, qualification, and maintenance of assembly and test procedures
- Concept, design, and commissioning of test setups
- Clear and concise documentation
Profile
- Master degree in technical area
- Technical background in precision mechanics, mechanisms, and optics
- Hands-on mentality for work in clean-room environment
- Experience in any of the following fields is a plus: Space Industry, electronics, mechatronics,
control engineering, Python
- Fluent in German and English
