SUMMARY OF JOB
As a Hardware Developer (Boards Development with EPC) , you will be part of a Global Product Development team and
would work closely with the Product Design Lead, Firmware Developers, Cybersecurity Expert, Test Engineers, V&V
Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Compliance Engineer, Product Manager and Chief Technical Officer to develop electronic
and power electronic assemblies for the Industrial Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems in accordance with the industrial
standards and compliance to tackle the upcoming market needs.
Your focus will be to develop new power electronic assemblies, controller- and auxiliary PCBs under an aggressive
timeline while effectively coordinating with other team members on the interlinked activities. You will be required to
plan and efficiently manage your activities in accordance with the timeline. You will be required to collaborate with
other team members, be innovative and encourage others to innovate and think outside the box.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a hardware developer (m/f/d), you are responsible for the further development, testing and documentation of
electronic and power electronic assemblies.
- You determine existing designs and transfer them to the industrial manufacturing process; including layout changes,
component selection and production-related design optimizations.
- For performance scaling, develop new solutions from existing designs.
- You are responsible for the test setup and testing of prototypes as well as for the higher-level system integration
test of the assemblies.
- You work independently, responsibly and think in an interdisciplinary manner.
- You work closely with a software team during the prototype development and testing phase and also enjoy working in a
team-oriented manner.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in electronics and electrical engineering or related engineering sciences.
- Initial experience with creating electronic circuit diagrams, PCB layouts, PCB design software and dealing with
common electronic test and measuring devices are required.
- Experience with microprocessors and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) in connection with the control of power
electronic components is desirable.
- Experience with test specifications and associated alignment with manufacturers.
- Ideally, you have already implemented relevant projects.
- Written and oral fluency in English, knowledge of German is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
- Experience of CAN-Node architectures.
- Knowledge of UPS Systems will be a plus.
- Experience of working with and testing power electronic devices.
- Experience of requirement management at product level.
