November 2023 Intership KATZ
KATZ - We are the plastics training and technology center in Switzerland.
KATZ is an approved research partner of Innosuisse and supports companies in the implementation
of innovative product ideas. In this way we make a significant contribution to the further
development of the high technical standard of the Swiss plastics industry.
Kreislauffabrik KATZ (Circular Factory KATZ) is a physical place within the technical center of KATZ
where recycling and circular routes of plastic products can be experienced. Course participants
expand their knowledge and practical experience of improving the eco-balance while industries and
entrepreneurs test and validate their new product concepts.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Intern in the field of Evaluation and Processing of Post-Consumer Plastics
towards Circular Routes
Kreislauffabrik KATZ, Aarau, Switzerland
Your tasks:
- Developing and adapting processing methods and preparation steps towards circular routes
for post-consumer plastics
- Independent, preparation and implementation and analysis of test series
- Summarizing results and deriving new insights
- Presentation of the findings in the project team
- Comparison of the findings with the project requirements and working out new solution
approaches
- Definition of the next test series in the project team

Your profile:
- You are an advanced student at a (technical) university in the field of plastics technology or
mechanical engineering with a focus on polymers technology or you have equivalent
previous knowledge
- You want to expand your practical experience in an application-oriented research
environment
- You can handle machines and recipes carefully and precisely
- You have strong analytical, technical, conceptual and communication skills
- You are motivated to work in a challenging working environment
- You communicate confidently in German and English
